2 Essential Home Improvement Items for Biker: Helmet & Jacket Hanger and Foldable Chair

Your access to motorcycle is way easier if you're staying in landed properties. The luxury of placing your helmet and other essential riding gears just on your bike is a convenient breeze that many of high-rise dweller wants, including me. To us, leaving our gears on the bike while parking in the basement might just as good as saying goodbye.

If you're staying in an Apartment or Condominium, or any type of residential area that required you to carry your riding gears, please do share your gearing-up process in the comment section below. It will be an interesting perspective to see each person's method of gearing up for a ride.

Here's my process before: I'll go to the study-room to get my helmet from the cabinet, proceed to bedroom to get jacket and socks from the wardrobe. Wore the jacket and socks on the couch, proceed to hallway door to wear riding boots, lastly,  I wore my helmet and proceed to lift down to carpark.

The part that annoys me the most is that I need to squad down in order to wear my riding shoes, and by no means it's an easy process, because I am having a tough time to slip my foot-in in this position. Plus, I am  carrying my helmet by squeezing it in between my arm and body while in the riding jacket, because I don't want to put my helmet on the floor. This position is awkward and repetitive every day.

That's why I am happy that I found a solution that does simplify and reverse the process with this helmet hanger.

The installation process is self-explanatory, I suppose. Step 1: Drill four holes in the wall, and be very sure that they does align with the holes from the board. Step 2: Screw the hanger to the wall. Installation done!

In addition, I've also installed a wall-mounted foldable chair which allow me to wear my shoes while sitting, instead of squatting. It has a max load of 130kg, definitely strong enough to support my weight.

Here's the final full setup photo:

At the end of the day, I am very happy with this new setup. First,  it offers me a dedicated place to store my bulky riding essentials like my helmet and riding jacket. Second, I have easy access to my gears since it's just located inside the front gate. Third, the process is now reversed—I can now sit in comfort to wear my riding shoes (or any other shoes), then proceed to wear my jacket and helmet.

This may seem insignificant to some, however, a small improvement on a repetitive task every day is a big win in the long run.
